We do not sell your information. We do not sell, rent, trade, or lease personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or advertisers. We do not allow others to harvest listings to spam, harass, steal identity, or use a number for verification or fraud.

Personal or mobile number on a listing? Email [email protected] or use our listing data request. Include the listing URL and the number to remove. We aim to suppress personal or mobile numbers from public pages within two business days of a valid request.

This policy explains how HealthTech, Inc. (“HealthTech”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use JamaicaMD.com, the public medical directory for Jamaica. Booking, accounts, and clinical features on app.jamaicamd.com are covered by the same controller and by the fuller notice at app.jamaicamd.com/privacy.

Patient records, referrals, and clinical documents are never stored on JamaicaMD.com. Those stay on the authenticated app.

1. Who we are

The data controller for this directory is HealthTech, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States, operating the JamaicaMD brand. Contact: [email protected].

We process Jamaican listing and visitor data in connection with a Jamaica-facing directory. Where UK or EU data protection law applies to a request (including complaints to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office), we will handle that request under those rules to the extent they apply.

2. Two kinds of people in our data

Visitors and patients: people who search, contact us, or create an account. We do not publish your private contact details on directory pages.
Listed professionals and clinics: names, specialties, practice locations, and professional contact details shown so patients can find care.

3. Public directory listings

JamaicaMD.com is a professional healthcare directory. Listings may be created from (a) information a clinic or provider submits when they claim or register an account, (b) publicly available professional practice information, and (c) professional datasets used to help patients find care. A listing can exist before the named person creates a JamaicaMD account.

We intend to publish professional / practice contact details only — for example a clinic or office number that patients may use to book care. We do not intend to publish personal, mobile, home, or “private/unlisted” numbers, or numbers used only for identity verification, banking, or similar private purposes.

Source data is sometimes incomplete or mislabelled. If a personal or mobile number appears on a public page, that is not our intended use. Tell us and we will suppress it. We may keep a suppressed value internally so it is not republished, or delete it.

Legal basis (where a lawful basis is required): our legitimate interests in operating a public directory of healthcare services in Jamaica, balanced against the rights of listed professionals; contract when you have an account; and legal obligation when we must respond to a lawful request. You may object to listing processing as described below.

4. What we collect from visitors

Search terms, parish or specialty filters, and approximate location if you share it
Contact-form details (name, email, phone, message, listing URL if provided)
Technical logs (IP address, browser, device, pages viewed) to run and secure the site
Cookies or similar tools as described in section 10

5. How we use information

Display professional listings so patients can find and contact practices
Correct, suppress, or remove listing details when we receive a valid request
Route messages to support (including 247 Portal, which we use as a support inbox)
Secure the site, prevent abuse, and meet legal duties
Improve search quality using aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns

We do not use directory listing contact details for unrelated marketing to the listed person.

6. We do not sell, rent, or abuse your information

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade, barter, or lease it. We do not disclose it to data brokers, list vendors, or advertisers for money or other valuable consideration. Email [email protected] with the subject “Do not sell or share my information” if you want that request on file.

We also will not:

Sell or give listed phone numbers, emails, or addresses to marketers
Allow scraping or bulk copy of the directory for commercial resale
Knowingly let others use a personal or mobile number from a listing for identity verification, banking, SIM swaps, harassment, or fraud
Use visitor contact-form details for anything other than responding to you and running the site

Hosting and support vendors only process data to run JamaicaMD, under contracts that forbid them from selling it. If we discover abuse of listing data, we may block access and cooperate with a lawful investigation.

7. Sharing

Listing details on this site are public by design. We also share data with service providers who host the site, provide email or support tools, or process analytics, under contracts that require them to protect the data. We may disclose information if required by law or to defend legal claims.

8. Your rights and listing requests

Depending on where you are, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority (in Jamaica, the Office of the Information Commissioner under the Data Protection Act; in the UK, the ICO).

For directory listings we will, on a valid request from the listed person or someone authorised to act for them:

Remove a personal, mobile, private, or unlisted number from public pages
Correct inaccurate professional details where we can verify the change
Replace a number with a practice number you provide, or show no phone at all
Consider a request to hide or delist a profile, balanced against the public interest in a healthcare directory (we will not keep a personal number public while we review)

We may ask you to confirm you are the listed professional (or an authorised practice manager) so we do not take down a competitor’s listing in error. That check will not delay suppression of a number you identify as personal.

Send requests to [email protected] or submit a listing data request. Include: your name, the listing URL, what to change, and the number to remove if relevant.

9. International transfers

HealthTech is based in the United States. Directory and support data may be stored or accessed in the United States, Jamaica, and the United Kingdom (including support tools). We use contractual and technical measures appropriate to those transfers.

10. Retention

Public listing fields stay while the listing is active. Suppressed personal numbers are removed from public pages promptly and are not restored. Support emails and privacy requests are kept as needed to show we handled the request and to prevent republication. Visitor logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and may use limited analytics. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect features.

12. Children

The directory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data on this site.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
